The Hope Centre

The Mountain of Hope Centre is on the second floor above the parade of shops. The door to reach the centre is situated in the far right hand corner of the parade.

There is plenty of on-street parking, with a Pay and Display car park opposite the Centre. Parking is 20-30 pence an hour (so bring your coins).

From Halifax

  1. Follow the A646 signposted Burnley & Hebden Bridge.
  2. On approaching Hebden Bridge, turn right, after passing the train station on your left, onto the A6033 signposted Keighley & Howarth.
  3. After approx 100 metres, past the pedestrian lights turn left at Bridge Gate, where the White Lion Pub is on the corner.
  4. Follow the road right at St. Georges Street and go over the bridge.
  5. Turn right into Valley Road or enter the car park on your next right.

From Todmorden/Burnley

  1. Follow the A646 signposted Hebden Bridge.
  2. On passing through Hebden Bridge, before the train station, turn a sharp left onto the A6033 signposted Keighley & Howarth.
  3. After approx 100 metres, past the pedestrian lights turn left at Bridge Gate, where the White Lion Pub is on the corner.
  4. Follow the road right at St. Georges Street and go over the bridge.
  5. Turn right into Valley Road or enter the car park on your next right.

By Train/bus

  1. Walk out of the train station to the main road and turn left and head towards town.
  2. After about 200 metres, turn right onto the A6033, and follow the directions as above.

Buses run a regular service to Hebden from Keighley, Halifax, and Burnley. National Express travel to Halifax once a day.

Parking

Please do NOT park directly outside the church hall as this does not belong to the church and it is private property.
There are a few limited spaces on the left hand side of Church Lane almost opposite the church as you go down the lane.
There is parking over the bridge after the pub on your right. Park here on the left or right hand side of the roadside anyway up the hill. Just make sure there is ample passing room wherever you park.
The pub car park is also out of bounds.

Directions from Halifax

  1. Follow the A646 (Burnley Road) signposted Hebden Bridge, Burnley, and Mytholmyroyd.
  2. After passing through Friendly and Luddendenfoot, continue for approx 1.8 miles and travel through Mytholmyroyd.
  3. After the pedestrian lights at Mytholmroyd, turn your immediate left onto B6138 (New Road) to Cragg Vale (Look for TRAIN STATION SYMBOL, Cragg Vale). The B6138 (New Road) changes into Cragg Road.
  4. Continue up the hill on the B6138 (New Road)/Cragg Road for approx 2 miles.
  5. Look out for a sign The Hinchcliffe Arms/Restaurant on your right.
  6. Turn right onto Church Bank Lane, and go down the hill. The Church Hall is on your right next to the Church.

Directions from Hebden Bridge

  1. Follow the A646 (Burnley Road) signposted Mytholmyroyd/Halifax.
  2. After approx 3 miles, you will pass through pedestrian lights.
  3. Take the second right onto the B6138 (New Road). The B6138 (New Road) changes into Cragg Road.
  4. Continue up the hill on the B6138 (New Road)/Cragg Road for approx 2 miles.
  5. Look out for a sign The Hinchcliffe Arms/Restaurant on your right.
  6. Turn right onto Church Bank Lane, and go down the hill. The Church Hall is on your right next to the Church.

By Train

Trains run from Leeds/Manchester every half an hour to Mytholmyroyd. You will need to catch the Hebden Bridge train, but make sure it stops at Mytholmyroyd when booking/buying ticket as not all of them do. When you leave the station, turn left whatever side of the track you exit. From the station it is approx 1.8 miles to walk to venue (up a very steep hill). If you would like to get a taxi or arrange a car share for this last stint, let us know beforehand. There are no buses.
